The water will get underneath and your house will stink!!! so yeah go for it!!!
May 22nd, 2010 at 8:16 pm
no dont do it the wood will soak up the water and warp so you will end up with an uneven floor
May 22nd, 2010 at 9:15 pm
Even worse that its laminate ,,,, if water gets under the floor it will absorb the water and swell creating a bubble under the surface of the laminate

no ,just use a mop !

The water will turn your laminate floor into weetabix so dont do it.

yes
i do it every month with my floor with out any problems

Don’t do this at all. As others have said, the water will seep under the boards and make your floor damp, eventaully mouldy. Laminate also warps with moisture and won’t lock together. Also, the water from the high pressure hose will go everywhere. Literally, everywhere.
Don’t be lazy, do it properly with a mop.

Jet washing your floor is too powerful and will cause warping, why not consider a steam cleaner. Or just a plain old mop and bucket!

yes you can do it
let us know how you get on

i WOULD NOT BE SIRPRISED IF THE PLASTER FELL OFF THE WALL AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
THE DAMP WILL RISE INTO THE WALLS AND THE PLASTER WILL BECOME COMPRIMISED
DONT DO IT IT WILL COST THOUSANDS TO PUT RIGHT

it all depends on how big the room is if it is small than the answer is a maybe if the room is big than their is a slight chance it will work my opinion go for it.

To do that you would have to be insane.
The floor will buckle, then smell and that’s if it survives the electrical fire you will cause by spraying water inside your house.

Thats a first! jet wash your laminate floor!
Not a good idea, you will cause lots of damage and could kill yourself. Electricity and water, just think about it.
Just wash the floor by hand.
have you ever seen the damage caused by floods?
Why not jet wash the inside of your car too? at least you cant kill yourself as the electricity in cars is only 12 volts.
Please ring the Samaritans before you have any more ideas for killing yourself.
If your still going to to this stupid thing, turn of the electricity to the house first, and wait at lest six months before turning it on again.

not a good idea mate, if floor is laminate and not waterproof the water will get in the joints and the laminate will swell and ruin the floor

Don’t listen to all these nervous nellies. Rent the most powerful pressure washer you can. Make sure you clean (spray) along the edges of the room real good. Then just use a squeegee to push it out the door.
Take pictures when you are done and post them back. You will be surprised what a difference it will make.

I’m worried that you will listen to some telling you to go for it……..PLEASE DON’T!!! My elderly father is catheterised and owing to accidents with the ‘bag’ had to lift his carpet as he was advised to get different flooring. The first thing the Occupational Therapist told him was to ensure in wasn’t Laminate as any wetness would eventually get under and swell. If that’s what happens with a little wetness, just think what damage could happen if you did it with a jetwash. It’s not only your floor you have to think of but electrics, rising damp, plastering walls etc. If any damage I don’t think your home insurance would cover you as deciding to do this wouldn’t be accidental.

hey why not, why don’t you do the walls and curtains as well!!!! are these people for real or what?!?!?
