how much does a diy loft conversion cost?

just want a velux window, but need a fixed staircase, power and lighting. Has anyone got any hints, tips and idea of costs?

    you should get a staircase made for between 800 and 1000 a velux window with flashings for 300 the electrical materials wont be that much a good honest local builder should charge you no more than 6000 to finish the job am in the building trade myself it should only take about 10 days
