looking for a petrol strimmer, any recommendations? 43CC Kawasaki Strimmer on special in local diy?

brought a grass trimmer last year for €45, but not enough power. Want a decent Strimmer that will last years with little bother, good power as large surrond around garden.

Personal experience – Shindaiwa trimmers are the best for the money. I use them professionally in my landscaping business and have never had a major problem.

I’m partial to the 230 model

While they are more expensive than the typical DIY store models, they are well worth the investment if you want a tool that is powerful and built to last.

The 43cc Kawa you mention is probably heavy. You really don’t need much cc in a string trimmer, the key is the rpms of the engine and how effectively the driveshaft gets the power to the head. A straight shaft trimmer will always outperform a curved shaft trimmer in terms of power at the head. All of my trimmers are 23cc engines – even brushcutters – and I’ve never had a problem with power.

Some other popular brands with the landscapers – RedMax, Stihl, Tanaka

My suggestion; look at area landscaping professionals trucks/trailers. What kind of trimmers are they using?
The way I look at it, use the “industry standard”!!!
They buy the best for the money, reliability, power.
In the USA that would be a Stihl. 99% of the lawn services, Golf courses, city and counties, and the highway department use them.
