My shared freeholder constantly behaves in an obstructive manner when I try to get upkeep repairs done.?
There are two flats in our building. We share the freehold. When I try to get repairs and maintenance done as per our leases the other freeholder drags his heels. The building had no been painted for twenty years. The leases state every seven years. I have done my section and after ten months only a third of his section remains finished. The section that has been done has seen rotting wood work simply cut out and not replaced, thus altering the facade.

I take it that you are in the UK??
If you were here in the USA I’d say talk to a lawyer about it but if it is the UK I think you need to see a Solicitor. That spelling is probably wrong 🙂 Since I live in the U.S. I am not entirely familiar with the terms but I do watch a bit of BBC.
I like the UK and would love to see England sometime. It’s on my bucket list.
