If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. To be fair, the Tesco staff I have spoken to seem ok.

You think they’re bad you should try popping into Wilkinsons!
May 24th, 2010 at 4:58 pm
They Exited School/College Obtuse?
May 24th, 2010 at 5:05 pm
cause they don’t employ people who are overqualified
May 24th, 2010 at 5:35 pm
I think you are being unfair.
Not all the staff are thick, just the ones you have been in contact with. I’m sure there must be a half intelligent one somewhere!
Being a bit of a plank is a requirement for most shop workers, burger flippers etc.
If they were smarter they’d have a better job.

And why are the staff who wear badges saying ‘Can I help you?’ those who look the most in need of help?
May 24th, 2010 at 6:20 pm
I wouldn’t say that was true. Morrison’s yes – but not Tesco.
May 24th, 2010 at 6:30 pm
The answer is in that question, that’s why they work in Tesco!
May 24th, 2010 at 6:55 pm
if you were Intelligent would you work in tesco
May 24th, 2010 at 7:20 pm
because thats the mandatory qualification you need to get a job there
May 24th, 2010 at 7:47 pm
haha; then dont go into Wilkinsons

I’m a student and I used to work at Tesco. I think Tesco is like a lot of other places, you have some intelligent people and some less intelligent people. But at least I don’t put random capital letters in the middle of a sentence. Oh, and and why bother to answer my question about Big Brother if you don’t like Big Brother? What was the point in that? I don’t like football, for example, but I don’t go around answering questions about it on Yahoo Answers and insulting people who do like football.
Why did you ask this question in the first place? I’m guessing they were too busy to tell you where they’d moved the pies to.

Why do you think they work in Tesco?
It’s a chicken and egg situation.

u shouldnt say stuff about your co-workers or u could end up on benefits

I also work at tesco and I’m happy to report that infact I do not perceive myself to be as thick as a plank of wood.
You see, it’s small minded over-opinionated Neanderthals such as yourself that we have to put up with everyday.
The majority of our customers are very nice and polite but we do get the odd one that sounds a lot like yourself (rude, bigoted, no sense of personal hygiene or manners that like to cough/sneeze everywhere with no perception of the goings on around them ect)
It’s these people that feel the world owes them and that they have some Clemente over the people who work there.
Truth is, most of us are just like you, paying bills, earning an honest living, feeding our children and paying into our own homes, I for one, would rather be doing that than sapping of the states benefits, because I have more self pride than that.
And as for being thick, well unfortunately there’s a vey broad scope on that matter, you get it everywhere in all companies in every walk of life, difference is, you see it there because you work around us, that’s just the way it goes.
I don’t particularly like tesco as a company but I choose to work there because it’s a very good wage and I enjoy working in retail and with people not because I happen to be “thick” but as it pays my bills, just like yours does, I’m sure.
Just try to think before you come out with silly small minded remarks in the future.
